Principal Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Jewish Teen Funders Network (JTFN) program. JTFN is a national program designed to imbue teens with the passion and skills to be thoughtful, effective and inspiring philanthropists. The Program Manager will plan the program, recruit participants, develop the curriculum based on national program guidance, and design a program evaluation process that leads to launching a local program her in the Puget Sound. The Program Manager will then lead a diverse group of Jewish teens in gaining first-hand experience in raising and allocating charitable dollars, evaluating grant proposals, making site visits, participating in group decision-making and assessing charitable impact.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university. Knowledge of Jewish education and culture.

Previous experience and/or current skills must include: Program management and event planning experience; exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills; experience managing multiple projects simultaneously; must enjoy working with teens and adults; ability to inspire others; excellent customer service skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team. Experience building and overseeing program curriculum.

The SJCC offers programs on Mercer Island and in Seattle at Temple Beth Am.

Examples of community-wide events include our annual Hanukkah celebration, Purim Carnival, Sukkot celebration and Second Night Passover Seder.

Mercer Island Campus

The Mercer Island SJCC campus has served the Jewish and general community since 1968. This location includes a fitness center, racquetball courts, indoor running track, gymnasium and indoor swimming pool. This location also has an auditorium, a children's library, kitchen, classrooms, and meeting rooms.

More than 10,000 people pass through the doors of the SJCC Mercer Island campus each year and more than 200 children are enrolled in its infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten programs. Each quarter, the SJCC offers programs ranging from swimming lessons to parenting lectures and yoga classes. The J offers transportation to and from several Mercer Island and east side elementary schools for its before- and after-school program. Summer camps include arts, sports, drama, teen adventure, and traditional Jewish day camps with transportation available
