Principal Responsibilities:

Summary

The Director, Campus Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership for The J in all areas pertaining to the operation of the Campus including administrative functions; housekeeping; building maintenance; HVAC systems, grounds care; and the safety of the guests and agencies that use the Campus.

This position is expected to establish long-term strategies, plans and policies for the proper upkeep and usage of the building and grounds, working cooperatively with vendors, the management team of The J and other organizations on Campus.

The operations of the Campus shall always be done in a manner that is consistent with stated long-term goals and within annual budgeting parameters.Knowledge of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as OSHA, ADA, EPA and fire codes a must.

The Director, Campus Operations reports to President + CEO, Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and directly supervises the head of maintenance and an executive assistant.

The Jewish Community Campus, located in Overland Park, is a 250,000 square foot building on 25-acre grounds. The building is home to nine Jewish agencies including the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. The building includes a preschool; K-12 private school; 500-seat theater; fitness center; indoor and outdoor pool; commercial kitchens; private offices; and public meeting/rental spaces.
