Principal Responsibilities:

Camp Tawonga is seeking to immediately hire an experienced fundraising professional to join our growing development team. The Development Manager is responsible for fundraising activities including institutional gifts, annual fund campaigns, special events and the Legacy Society, along with other development efforts tied to annual operations. The Development Manager shares responsibility for overall departmental goal achievement and is an integral member of the fundraising team. This position will require wearing a number of different hats on a daily basis, as well as flexibility, good time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities. This is an outward-facing role that will involve community engagement.

The Department

The Development Manager is part of a development team of four that includes the Development Director, Communications Director and the Development Associate. This department has grown in scope and need over the past five years with the establishment of year-round programming initiatives, an increase in need for camper scholarships, as well the building of a capital campaign. As such, we are growing our team to build and deepen relationships in the Tawonga community and manage a well-established year-round annual fund campaign cycle. We are a warm and highly collaborative team that celebrates everyone's unique contributions. Tawonga runs programming for children, families and young adults at our premier residential camp located outside Yosemite National Park as well as in the San Francisco Bay Area. At Tawonga, children and teens build self esteem, make lifelong friends and discover their truest selves, supported by a dedicated and loving staff.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position, including some weekend and evening work. Competitive compensation package including medical, dental, life insurance, retirement and paid annual vacation.
