OUR HISTORY More than 95 years ago, the JCC of the Lehigh Valley was created to serve the needs of a growing Jewish community. We have established ourselves as a driving force in the social, cultural and educational life surrounding the greater Lehigh Valley. The entire communityfamilies and singles, young and oldhave come to play, learn, exercise, socialize and share in the cultural wealth of our community. The JCC has become our "neighborhood," a place where Jewish and secular values and traditions can be shared actively in a warm, comfortable, vibrant environment. The JCC serves nearly 2,000 members. Principal Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Identify potential accident hazards.
  2. Be alert and prevent accidents
  3. Enforce all pool rules and regulation in a consistent manner.
  4. Handle discipline situations with courtesy and fairness.
  5. Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively, and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
  6. Administer first aid and CPR as required

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate with other lifeguards and supervisor.
  2. Facilitate public relations with a positive and professional attitude, courtesy and tact.
  3. Follow established substitution procedures.
  4. Fill out appropriate reports.
  5. Monitor chemical levels.
  6. Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  7. Attend all in-service trainings.
