Principal Responsibilities:

Since moving to its new home in Foster City in 2004, the PJCC has grown to more than 10,000 members. For over 60 years, the PJCC has worked to inspire a sense of community in San Mateo County. Summary: The Accounting Manager has general responsibility for conducting accurate accounting, processing, computing, classifying, recording, auditing, and verification of accounting data and records, including payroll.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in financial accounting and auditing, particularly in non-profit organizations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office; accounting software; payroll and human resource information systems and database software including but not limited to entering and searching data, and writing and producing clear and accurate reporting.

Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of financial record keeping and accounting processes such as posting, adjusting, balancing, reconciling; office clerical procedures such as filing, coding, and proofreading documentation; and accurate math skills; knowledge of automated financial accounting systems to input data, create and review essential reports, and audit and reconcile data (prefer knowledge and experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge); knowledge and experience with automated payroll and personnel management systems (prefer Paycom); knowledge of financial and legal aspects related to the duties and responsibilities of the position; and proficient in the use of Excel beyond a basic level.

Customer Service/ Interpersonal - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to departmental needs; Focuses on solving issues; great team player.
