Principal Responsibilities:

Berkshire Hills is seeking an individual to head and oversee our Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program for our sixteen year old campers. The LIT Head will mentor and work with LIT supervisors as well as a group of approximately 20 LITs. The goal of the LIT program is to prepare the LIT group for their roles as Junior Counselors the following year. This is done through hands-on experience/shadowing, informative workshops, and constructive feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have past camp experience or experience working in a similar field whether as an educator, social worker, etc. The LIT Head should have strong interpersonal skills, leadership and management experience, as well as the desire and ability to work with children and adults.

The LIT Head is expected to reside at camp in Copake, NY from June 27th to August 15th. The LIT Head is also expected to be at camp for orientation week beginning June 19th but considerations may be made for the right candidate. Attendance in some form is also required at all pre-camp meetings which include, but may not be limited to, two in the spring as well as a leadership weekend in June. Minimum age of candidates is 21.
