Principal Responsibilities:

Lead Teacher for two, three year or four year olds within a seven week on-site summer day camp program for preschoolers . Must have New York State certification or in the process of receiving certification (ability to become provisionally certified) in Early Childhood Education and experience working with young children. Hours are approximately 8:30 - 4:30 Monday through Friday from June 27th through August 16th, 2019. This position involves working with children ages 2 through 5 and their families through the implementation of an enriching summer program within our state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities. The successful candidate will bring great presence and creativity to the position and will collaborate with our teaching teams and with the director of the program to help develop and implement an emergent, play-based curriculum incorporating rich units of study.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or enrolled in a Masters program.

New York State Early Childhood license or license pending.

Experience teaching within an early childhood classroom.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with colleagues and families

Competency in general computer skills.
