Principal Responsibilities:

Administration:

Maintain participant information in our membership database software

Maintain all pertinent registration and supporting documents such as medical forms, registration agreements, enrollment forms and all other related paperwork;

Oversee and manage the administrative systems to track registrations and payment for all Children's and Camp programs with the ability to suggest new and innovative ways to streamline our current policies

Parent Liaison - Serve as a Parent Liaison for all Children's and Camp programming including:

Providing timely and detailed camp communication regarding upcoming activities and events;

Responding to complaints/criticism

Crisis management

Talk to prospective members (in collaboration with Director and Administrative Staff) and provide program information and marketing materials

Maintain an inquiry tracking systems for prospective and existing program participants;

Supervision of Staff:

Supervise & manage various members of the camp leadership team and staff within the Camp & Children's department

Serve as the responsible on-site Children & Camp professional if/when the Camp Director is not present

Other Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to unanticipated, complex changes to planned activities and programs

Accompany groups during field-trips and other off-camp experiences

Partner with other Department heads/staff for numerous JEA/SJF events

Transport children inJEA 14-passanger buses during Children's and Camp programming

Be committed to the mission and goals of the JEA.

Participate in major program events including parent and staff orientations

Other duties as required.

The Savannah Jewish Educational Alliance is seeking an exceptional leader and team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to be the Assistant Director for its Children's and Camp Department.

This person will have a desire to help make an impact in both the Savannah Jewish community and the Savannah community at large.

The ideal candidate has a background in a Camp or Afterschool setting, someone who has the vision and motivation to make a difference in the lives of the children, parents, volunteers and staff with whom they will work. Central to this position's success is the desire and drive to handle a variety of responsibilities, tackle a wide array of challenges, and participate in all aspects of JEA Children's & Camp department's planning, operations and implementation of programs for children ages 4-17.
