Principal Responsibilities:

The Inclusion and Accessibility Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the Alper JCC's Inclusion program. This program ensures that all JCC programming is accessible to everyone, with a particular focus on individuals with disabilities.

This position will directly supervises Inclusion Facilitators on a year-round basis with an increase in staffing during summer camp.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets. This position also operates indoors and outdoors at a summer camp.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate with others.

In the office setting, this is primarily a sedentary role, which requires the employee to sit at a desk for consecutive hours at a time using a computer and other office equipment. Additional physical requirements include occasional bending, crouching, reaching and lifting.

While performing the duties of this position in the camp setting, the employee will also be required to work outdoors in summer temperatures for prolonged periods of time and regularly walk on uneven terrain. When necessary, the employee will also be required to physically assist campers by lifting, transferring and restraining.
