Principal Responsibilities:

Primary Position Responsibilities

Marketing, Communications and Outreach

- Develop and oversee implementation of marketing strategy to recruit and retain Camp families

- Partner with communications director to develop program brochures; lead dissemination process

- Oversee online and print advertising and manage Google Adwords process

- Oversee coordination and distribution of messaging and advertising to community

- Partner with communications director to develop, produce and distribute promotional videos

- Develop and implement ongoing staff training regarding customer service and client relations

Down The Mountain Programming

- Oversee all family Down the Mountain programs, including program conception, calendaring, marketing, recruitment, staffing and budgeting

- Oversee all Down the Mountain program logistics including oversight of Tawonga's Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration (serving 1200 individuals)

- Lead program implementation and evaluation

- Develop and steward program collaborations and partnerships with like-minded organizations

- Seek grant funding where relevant and collaborate with development director to secure funding

Supervise Registration and Camper File Management

- Supervise registrar, including oversight of registration process (e.g. troubleshooting issues, related communications and forms)

- Oversee and lead (as needed) new family orientations including communications, logistics and staffing

- Work with registrar to manage staff calendar to ensure adequate phone coverage

- Analyze and monitor enrollment and make recommendations for camper recruitment and retention

- Supervise all communications for new and returning families for summer camp and family camp

- Supervise compilation and maintenance of camper records and files

Summer Camp and Weekend Programs

- Serve as primary year-round parent liaison, including daily summer camper reports with at-Camp staff

- Oversee the process to manage camper issues (e.g. the alert list and other summer documents)

- Direct or co-direct San Francisco office during the summer

- Serve as Bay Area lead at Bus Duty during summer, including leading, training and organizing staff

- Organize bunking for summer camp and family camp; assign weekend day groups

- Support post-season camper follow up

- Serve as assistant director at Tawonga weekend programs as needed

- Manage the Camper Satisfaction Index survey process, including working with the Foundation for Jewish Camp to set up and distribute the survey and coordinate the findings meeting

- Oversee all summer communications to families

Other Responsibilities

- Serve as an advocate to the community, providing information whenever and wherever possible

- Strategize with other staff members to develop and maintain exemplary programs and offerings

- Provide leadership to and professional development opportunities for administrative team

- Perform office and administrative functions as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Education, Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent education

- At least three years of supervision experience

- At least three years of relevant experienceKnowledge and Skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Google Suite including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms; mass email platform knowledge a plus

- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately

- Detail oriented and well organized

- Ability to communicate clearly, thoughtfully and sensitively with the public

- Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality

- Excellent writing and proofreading skills

- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions in routine situations

- This is a full-time, exempt, year-round, benefited position

- Salary is commensurate with experience
