Principal Responsibilities:

The Adult Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator is a collaboration of the Jewish Federation and Jewish Foundation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, the Gordon Jewish Community Center and Chai Mitzvah. This newly created collaborative initiative seeks to address a key recommendation from both the 2015 Nashville and Middle Tennessee community-wide demographic study and 2016 Best Jewish Nashville 2.0 community planning project; to boost engagement and involvement of Jewish adults in their 40s to 60s with a special focus on newcomers and the under- involved. This three-year pilot project includes the hiring of a full-time professional engagement coordinator who will work with a volunteer leadership and partner agencies to create a variety of pathways to meaningful Jewish engagement and increased social connections.

The Gordon Jewish Community Center (GJCC) is at the center of Jewish life in Nashville, providing recreational, educational, social and cultural programs and services to over 1,700 member families. Located on a beautiful 52-acre campus in west Nashville, it is a place where non-Jews are welcome to join, play and learn side by side with their Jewish neighbors. Camp Davis, established in 1930s, provides a day camp experience for hundreds of school-age children each summer.
