Principal Responsibilities:

The Youth Bus Driver drives a Youth Bus to transport students in the Treehouse Afterschool Program from local elementary schools to the PJCC. The Youth Bus Driver will drive larger buses occasionally, as needed, for other programs such as camp, other youth programs, and adult programs and performs the following essential duties:

Follows instructions, responds to management direction

Safety and Security:

Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly

The position is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week) 11am - 4pm - Monday - Friday.

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center is a drug-free workplace and will randomly drug-test employees for compliance with its drug-free workplace policy.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

High School diploma or general education (GED) degree; and six months + related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

California Class B Driver's License, Youth Bus certification and 29-Passenger endorsement

Language Ability:

Communicates with passenges effectively

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to read map and plan most effective pick-up and trip route

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, or be able to learn such programs quickly

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; abilityh to perform these operation using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
