Description

The Bender JCC is a premier community center at the heart of Jewish life in Montgomery County. The Early Childhood Center is a Jewish Reggio-inspired lab school with many opportunities for professional development. We seek candidates for full-time year-round Assistant Teachers positions, particularly individuals who desire to be engaged in working with young children in the context of a wonderful community. We believe that relationships and dialogue are the basis for a rich learning environment.

Major responsibilities involve creating an educational experience for the students and their families by:

Employment includes free membership to our on-site fitness center, indoor/outdoor pools and employee discounts to most Center programs. We are conveniently located near two Metro Red Line stations and have free on-site parking.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications

High School Diploma required, college degree preferred,

90 hour Certification or a willingness to achieve the 90 hour ECE certification.

Strong written and spoken language skills and strong interpersonal skills

Love and respect for children

Jewish knowledge helpful

Team orientation
