The Merage JCC Early Childhood Learning Center at The Aronoff Preschool is looking for qualified, enthusiastic individuals who want to work in a fun Preschool Summer Camp environment for children ages 2-5. We are looking for educators with high levels of energy that are interested in working with young children from June 12-August 25. Camp is Monday through Friday with hours from 9:00AM-6:00 PM. The camp environment is a creative, safe and nurturing place, where children swim, play sports, make craft projects, and learn about exciting themes from special guests within our community. Upon completion of Summer Camp, applicable candidates may also be considered for a teaching position for the 2017-2018 academic school year.

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear; use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or keyboards; and reach with hands and arms.
-Physical demands are described as medium exert up to 35 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs. of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move/lift/carry.
-Requires walking or standing for up to four (4) hours at a time with a 10 minute break.
-Requires squatting to a significant degree.
-Requires bending and stooping to a significant degree.
-Requires reaching overhead while balancing approximately 10 lbs.
-Requires pushing and pulling approximately 10+ lbs.
-The noise level in the environment ranges from quiet to medium to high.
-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
YOU MUST HAVE 12 or more units of Early Childhood Education coursework including:
(1) Child Development
(2) Child, Family, Community
(3) Early Childhood Curriculum/Practicum/Guidance
(4) Having Infant/Toddler Curriculum/Development is a PLUS!
All qualified candidates are required to e-mail a copy of official or non-official transcripts for proof of all California state licensing ECE/CD/HD coursework completion. Candidates with missing coursework will NOT be considered. Candidates must be US Citizens and have proof of US citizenship. Please let us know if you are CPR certified or bilingual, as well.
