Principal Responsibilities:

The KidsPlace Afterschool Program Coordinator is responsible for working collaboratively and in support of the Youth and Family Director and staff to provide a high quality after school experience for youth and families at the Siegel JCC. The KP Afterschool Program Coordinator supports School's Out program during the school year.

Our warm and caring afterschool program serves up to 80 children, in grades kindergarten thru sixth as well as their families. Counselors offer homework help and design a variety of activities that allow for creativity and relationship building, keeping both the children and counselors active and engaged afterschool! Arts and crafts, sports and games, swimming, and special interest enrichments are highlights of our program.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:

Meets the requirements of a Site Administrator as determined by the State of Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing (Successful completion of at least 15 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university with at least three credit hours in each of the following areas: child development/learning, environment/curriculum, social-emotional development, observation/assessment; and one three-hour school age elective of the learner's). Degree preferred. 1-2 years experience working with children K-5th grade.
