DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

Does the idea of 50 tiny tots swarming into the gym to play micro-soccer excite rather than terrify you? The JCC Indianapolis has an opportunity for a highly-motivated individual with a passion for creating and running sports and recreation programs for people of all ages. The Director of Athletics must have the patience and temperament to be able to work with children in the morning, seniors in the afternoon and serious basketball players in the evening. Previous JCC experience is not necessary, but first-rate people skills, the desire to be part of dynamic team and a self-motivated work ethic are. The JCC offers a high-energy environment which values commitment and celebrates diversity.

The Director of Athletics is part of the Fitness & Membership team and is responsible for coordinating sports and recreational programming (including summer sports camps, seasonal sports leagues, skill classes, etc.). The Director develops and promotes yearly strategic program planning to provide creative and value-added programs and activities for members. Other responsibilities include assisting in supervising all activities in the fitness and recreation areas.
