The EVJCC is a hub for social, cultural and educational activities to engage families and individuals throughout their lifetime. The vision of the EVJCC is to create a strong, connected community through Jewish values and education. Since 1972, the East Valley JCC has provided countless children, families, seniors and community members with quality learning opportunities rooted in Jewish values and traditions. Through services and programs, the East Valley JCC promotes and strengthen Jewish values and identity by meeting the needs of individuals and families of all races, religions and cultures.

Principal Responsibilities:

The East Valley JCC is seeking fun, enthusiastic and creative Camp Counselors to work in our Summer Day Camp (Camp Rimon) program for children grades K-9! The camp runs from May 22nd-August 4th taking place between 8:30am and 4:00pm. Counselors must also be able to attend 24 hours of staff training in May and must be available for Meet the Counselors Night on May 25th. There is room for flexibility regarding the dates of employment. Counselors are expected to keep track of their individual groups, with the primary responsibility of keeping all campers safe and having fun! They are also expected to actively participate along with the campers in a wide range of activities including sports, swimming, art, and music and accompany the campers on exciting weekly field trips. Minimum Qualifications:

The ability to ensure all campers safety and happiness during the course of the summer. The ability to plan, lead and assist in a variety of activities and participate with the campers. The ability to enforce camp rules, provide clear expectations and boundaries for children in order to promote a safe and cohesive environment. The ability to have fun, enjoy yourself, be flexible and have a lot of patience. Must be able to be on time and attend all staff meetings, trainings and orientation.
