Principal Responsibilities:

The Fitness Coordinator - Speedflex is responsible for supporting the business, operational, and administrative processes in the fitness department specifically the Speedflex initiative. This is a non- exempt, part-time position.Core hours Monday - Friday 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m., some additional days/hours may be required.EOE (equal opportunity employer).

Minimum Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

  1. Support, maintain and enhance current Speedflex programming in the fitness department.
  2. Under the guidance of the Assistant Executive Director and with the support of the other department directors, develop and implement class curriculum for Speedflex.
  3. Instruct Speedflex classes and coordinate other trainers and instructors to ensure that all classes are covered.
  4. Provide tracking and scheduling assistance to ensure that all participants in Speedflex classes have purchased the classes they attend.
  5. Facility management.
    • Maintain all equipment and supplies in the Speedflex studio.
    • Make sure that all assigned facilities are clean; all equipment is in proper working order and is safe and secure.
  6. Excellent customer service is necessary to support and grow the Speedflex program.
  7. Ability to understand the relationship of information and its effect throughout all processes and programs to be proactive and utilize appropriate levels of initiative.
  8. Efficiency, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines in a constant changing environment.
  9. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Access. Ability to learn and implement new programs (i.e. Thinsoft) as needed.
  10. Submit and process codes, transfers, refunds, purchase orders, new hire paperwork and check requests.
  11. Keep track of inventory, including equipment, first aid supplies, and program supplies.
  12. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  13. Must have a proven track record of utilizing good judgment and decision making skills to be able to work independently.
  14. Must have an entrepreneurial focus to increase participation and to fill the Speedflex classes.
  15. Be consistent and reliable in arrival and attendance.
  16. Perform duties onsite of employer.
