Principal Responsibilities:

J-Camp is seeking enthusiastic, patient, hard-working staff members to serve as Specialists this summer. Specialists plan activities for campers in kindergarten through high school. Applicants must be 18 years old as of June 1 and be available full-time from June 11-August 9.

What you'll be responsible for: (Specific duties include but are not limited to the following)

• Developing and implementing specialty program area, including planning daily lesson plans for five groups of campers and working with other staff to plan weekly special events
• Participating in activities with campers and assisting leading activities when needed
• Modeling excellent behavior, including language, attire and conduct

Minimum Qualifications:

• A high school diploma
• Experience and interest working with children
• Creativity, flexibility, energy, professionalism and initiative
• Expertise and ability to plan and lead activities in a subject area
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strength and stamina required to maintain constant supervision of campers during the entire day
