Principal Responsibilities:

The SJCC is looking for a dynamic leader to oversee our School Age Programs + Classes. Supervising a team that includes the J Camp Director, Kidstown and Enrichment Manager, and direct service staff, the Director, School Age Programs + Classes is responsible for ensuring that programming for children K-8 is aligned with and advances the SJCC vision and mission. The Director, School Age Programs + Classes is an integral member of the senior management team of SJCC, which is responsible for the overall leadership of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Director, School-Age Programs + Classes, is responsible for School-Age programming for children K-8, including but not limited to J Camp, the Kidstown before-school and after-school program, youth sports leagues, and Enrichment Classes (including pre-school enrichment classes).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university. Five to seven years of experience with managing youth programs for a community centered organization. Two to five years of supervisory experience.

Stellar customer-service orientation with a high level of professionalism with a strength in diplomacy and discretion. Proficiency with project management and effective organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; manage multiple projects to achieve program and project goals. Experience working with volunteer committees, vendors, and donors; and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and capable of working within deadline-driven environment.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint is required.
