Milk and Honey Farm is offering a fun opportunity to gain experience in community-based organic agriculture. Interns will have an opportunity to learn about farming practices through the principals of environmental sustainability, the ethical treatment of animals, and tzedakah or charity. The interns will be working directly with our Farm Director, while gaining experience in organic farming skills including animal care, drip irrigation, cover

cropping, cultivation, general plant care, greenhouse growing, and much more. Accepted applicants will also have the opportunity to explore the intersection of agriculture, education, and Judaism, through participation in our many programs. We are seeking interns to commit to 15-25 hours per week. We are looking to hire at least two interns this Summer from April 1 - October 31, 2018 but start and end dates are flexible with a minimum 6-week commitment, please e-mail the address below to ask about different work durations. No experience necessary to apply. This is an unpaid position. Accepted applicants will be able to take home extra produce from the farm and can be trained to participate in the goat co-op, allowing access to a weekly share of goat milk.

Milk and Honey Farm is a burgeoning farm at the Boulder JCC. On site we have a acre in vegetables, a small cooperative goat dairy, a geodesic dome greenhouse and fruit orchard. The farm plays a large role in the JCC preschool classes and summer camps, as well as offering its own educational and volunteer programs for people of all ages. The farm is a central point of community connection and engagement.
