Principal Responsibilities:

At JCC Chicago, lifeguards and swim instructors play a vital role in the physical and learning development of our students. Working at JCC means working in an active, fast paced and friendly environment. Our emphasis is always on fun, safety and meeting the next challenge for students and instructors alike.

Swim Instructors teach a variety of ages and skill levels while bringing fun and excitement using the SwimRight? Method, part of the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy. Lessons are provided to Early Childhood and After School program participants as well as in general aquatics classes. Training in the LKSA SwimRight? Method will be provided.

Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all users. DAYS/HOURS:
Various morning, afternoon, evening and weekend-only shifts available

Minimum Qualifications:

Swim Instructors: Knowledge of and experience teaching children in a Learn to Swim program with ability and willingness to participate in the full SwimRight? Method training program. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.

Lifeguards: Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid certification, as well as CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification required.Knowledge of and experience teaching children in a "Learn to Swim" program with ability and willingness to participate in the full SwimRight? Method training program. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.
