Principal Responsibilities:

The J Institute conceptualizes, develops and implements programming that enriches the lives of the JCA adult membership, as well as our surrounding community. The Associate assists with other programming needs within the J Institute Department. The J Institute Program Associate is expected to be personable and to reach out to a wide variety of individuals and groups in order to involve them in the programming offered within the J Institute. They will be required to work evenings, and some weekends as necessitated by programming. They will conceptualize, plan, organize, and implement adult related programs which include classes, field trips, socials, inter-generational projects, and special events. Documentation and evaluation of these programs conducted on an ongoing basis for future reference planning is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

To function as part of the staff team - supporting, cooperating and aiding other program areas when needed and to work closely with other staff in order to coordinate and integrate respective programming. Follow JCA procedures on program and room setup, and PR requests/deadlines. Represent the JCA in a professional manner at all J Institute/JCA related activities and actively listen to members. Make appropriate referrals when needed. Represent the JCA as the J Institute representative for select inter-agency committees and functions expressly relating to the needs of the adult population. Actively promote the JCA and its programs to potential new members. Engage and connect with current members, keeping them informed and up to date on upcoming programming. Any other reasonable tasks that may be required. Responsibilities may be changed as the needs of the agency and/or community change.

Four year college degree preferred. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred, but not mandatory.
