Title: CFO/COO

Location: Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center

FLSA Status: Exempt


The CFO/COO will be responsible for managing and enhancing the internal organization process and infrastructure. The CFO/CEO will report directly to the Denver JCC CEO and will be a part of the JCC Executive Team. The CFO/COO will supervise Operations, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities and IT.


The CFO/COO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the agency by building and managing a team of professionals accountable for accounting, finance, facilities, operations and information technology and enhancing the internal organizational processes and infrastructure that will allow the Denver JCC to grow and fulfill its mission. The CFO/COO is accountable for long-term financial planning, operational efficiency, sound internal controls and effective financial management of the agency. The CFO/COO also provides strategic leadership for the organization by working with the Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.


Finance - Financial management and oversight

Human Resources - Manage and oversee the human resource function

Information Technology - Work closely with and supervise the IT professionals

General Operations - Oversee risk management, legal activities, insurance, organizational reporting and monitoring

Facilities Maintenance - Oversee the maintenance team for the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center and Ranch Campuses



Reports to:

Chief Executive Office

Some of our outstanding programs include our highly acclaimed Reggio Emilia, Constructivism-inspired Early Childhood Learning Program, Camp Shai (our day camp) and Ranch Camp (our overnight camp located on 400 acres near Elizabeth, Colorado), and the Mizel Arts and Culture Center (MACC) known for its renowned Film Festival and children's theatre programs. Our Fitness and Wellness Center includes a new locker room facility, hot tubs and saunas, a personal training area and updated equipment. The role of CFO/COO is critical to the success of transforming the Denver JCC and moving our vision forward. This individual will be a member of the senior leadership team and engage regularly with the board of directors, community professionals, lay leaders, the Denver JCC team and national organizations.
