The JCA's mission is to enhance and promote Jewish life and continuity locally, in Israel and throughout the world, and to generate the financial resources to develop, provide and support diverse programs, education and services in order to accomplish these goals.

Description

The Development Director offers leadership and direction to the JCA in all aspects of fundraising, including developing organizational strategies and establishing funding priorities, and works closely with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers, to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and donors. The Development Director is expected to develop a strategic plan for advancement and to meet the JCA's financial and budgetary goals for the Annual Campaign, Capital Campaign, and special project initiatives. The Development Director advises and guides the Executive Director and Volunteers on best practices and processes, and works to broaden the JCA's base of support and to strengthen relationships with the existing donor base and strategic partners.

Hiring Process: We are seeking to fill this position as soon as possible, and will review applications on a rolling basis until the position is filled. We will begin scheduling phone interviews the week of July 17th. Those invited to an in-person interview will be asked for references and writing samples. Finalists will be invited to a second-round one-hour interview, and a decision will be made and offer extended shortly thereafter.

This is a full-time, exempt position requiring the time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete job requirements. Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel, required. Salary range will be $50,000-60,000 depending upon experience. Benefits include partial contribution toward individual health insurance, paid time off and programmatic discounts.
