Principal Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW

The Development Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the critical administrative requirements of the Development department. The Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County is an EOE (equal opportunity employer).This is a Part-Time position/20 hours per week

THE ROLE

The Development Assistant will be responsible for managing the systems and processes to operationalize fundraising across all revenue sources, and for properly acknowledging donors.

This person will be the expert on all Development systems, including overseeing database and donor information systems, gift acknowledgement and activities related to donor cultivation, stewardship, and prospecting. This includes: maintaining up-to-date donor records, providing key revenue reports and analytics in a timely manner, tracking and fulfilling compliance requirements, sending thank you letters and acknowledgments, conducting prospect research, and organizing meetings.

The Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County, California is located centrally in beautiful Irvine, Newport Beach and Newport Coast, California. The Merage JCC is located in a 220,000 sq. ft. full service modern building on the Samueli Jewish Campus. With over 3,000 family units, it has a suburban feel even though it is only 45 minutes from Los Angeles and 1 hour and 15 minutes from San Diego. The Orange County Jewish Community is home to approximately 100,000 Jews, many of whom use the J as their destination for Jewish life.
