Principal Responsibilities:

Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer

Direct Report: CEO

Essential Functions/Responsibilities: The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will serve as a key member of the Management Team. The position will have direct supervisory responsibilities of the marketing team and have overall responsibility for supervision and oversight of the public relations and marketing function of the JCC and Campus. This includes managing external communications, customer/member acquisition, customer/member retention, program advertising and marketing, oversight of the websites and social media/networking strategies and in partnership with the HR Director, internal communications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities/Characteristics: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Identify and connect to the mission of the JCC and Campus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus. Strong understanding of print/production process. Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, allocate resources and meet deadlines. Work with a flexible work schedule. Ability to create, read and manage budgets.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, public relations or a related field. And a minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing. Experience with a membership organization or business a plus.

For over 60 years, the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center (JCC) has promoted the personal, cultural, social and physical development of members of the Jewish and total Phoenix community.

Opening in 1945 and at its current location since 2002, the JCC takes great pride in offering the best in programs and services while adjusting to meet the ever-changing needs of our Community.

Among the critical social services provided by the JCC is childcare. Our Early Childhood Center is licensed and nationally accredited.Its programs include an annually sold out preschool program, childcare, parent-tot classes and play groups, parent education, working-parent support groups and enrichment classes.Our Youth Department offers an after-school program for K-6th grade for approximately 100 children. It also provides unique and varied programs including our growing and exciting Youth Theatre Program.

The JCC provides Camping Services for children ages 2 to 16, who participate in a well-rounded group-based day camping program including environmental education, arts and crafts, sports, specialty programs and swimming. This past summer we served 2,357 camper units.

Our Parkinson's program consists of two programs for well-rounded community participation. The educational component of the program consists of a series of lectures providing on-going education and information on the advancements of the disease with medical professionals from the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center of Barrow Neurological Institute. These informative lectures have been taking place at the JCC for over one year. During this period of time, 280 people have been served. Along with these lectures, we have provided workshops for caregivers which have served 65 people to date. In addition to the educational component, we currently offer an extensive wellness program for community members. The Parkinson's fitness offerings include boxing, aquatics, and a variety of fitness classes each week. This past year, 1560 participants have been served through these classes. (60 participants X 3 times a week X 26 weeks).

For adults we offer extensive health and wellness services as well as arts and educational programs that bring people with a wide range of interests together.

With over 2,200 units of membership and a goal of never turning anyone away due to financial reasons (this past year we provided approximately $300,000 of assistance for membership, programs and services) and a commitment to working with area agencies the Valley of the Sun JCC is committed to being an integral part of what makes Phoenix an incredible community to live
