The Levite JCC, now in its 110th year, sits on a 23 acre campus shared by the JCC, Jewish Federation and the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School. The JCC is a full service facility offering childcare services beginning at six weeks, day camp, youth, teen, adult, fitness and recreation activities in its 120,000 square foot facility. Principal Responsibilities:

The Levite JCC of Birmingham, AL is seeking an Executive Director who will be a visionary leader. The individual must possesses excellent strategic communication and managerial skills, strong intellect, and is a passionate advocate of the JCC and its mission. This individual will partner with the board of directors and staff to cultivate strong ties between the JCC, its members, donors and key stakeholders. The Executive Director will provide leadership to all aspects of JCC operations and is responsible for the day-to-day management, keeping it strong and positioning it for the future. This individual supports and enables staff and volunteers to carry out programs in keeping with the vision, policies and goals established by the JCCs board of directors.

Minimum Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will have Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a JCC, non-profit or similar agency; BA/BS degree required; MA/MS degree preferred in Jewish communal service, non-profit management, public administration or related field; Proven ability in a leadership/management and staff supervision; Fundraising, financial management, strategic planning and program development skills; a strong record of professional commitment and goal achievement; knowledge and understanding of Jewish culture and traditions.
