Principal Responsibilities:

The Savannah Jewish Federation ("Federation"), Jewish Educational Alliance ("JEA"), and Jewish Community Foundation of Savannah ("JCFS") is looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join its management team with its current CFO leaving the position after over a decade of superior service.

The Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") is the chief fiscal and administrative officer of the Federation & JEA. The CFO is responsible for developing the overall financial and operational strategy in accordance with and in service to the overall missions and strategy.

The CFO assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the organization in financial decision-making that affects the delivery of desired results through empowerment, development and utilization of people, processes and technology to guide the organization into the future. In all functions and responsibilities, the CFO must provide the highest level of client service and responsiveness to all stakeholders of the organizations.

The CFO must provide leadership, embody the highest level of integrity, transparency, and creativity to forecast financial growth while ensuring the organizations remain fiscally solvent to serve the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

As an executive team member and essential partner, the CFO will support the strategic execution of three entities, Savannah Jewish Federation, Jewish Educational Alliance (JCC), and Jewish Community Foundation of Savannah, and provide both oversight and hands-on engagement in the delivery of all financial services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the primary financial support through a shared service model to the three organizations.

This is a role that requires a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment as you will be supporting multiple entities and leading a small Finance Department. You will be responsible for financial performance optimization and the development of timely, detailed and accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and reports for all three organizations, while ensuring that the management teams and boards of each organization have the financial information and analysis required for critical decision making.

As the CFO, you will identify and develop strategies for operational efficiencies and work closely with leaders to prepare and manage budgets and lead audit consolidation. You will continually review the team and department performance, with a focus on systems and processes that support the overall organizational performance. You will drive performance through a collaborative and team focused approach, to ensure the strong financial stewardship of all three organizations.
