Principal Responsibilities:

The JCA is seeking a full-time (40-hour/week) Finance and Development Associate to assist with the organization's daily financial and development operations. The Finance and Development Associate will support the Finance Director and Development Director to record financial transactions, maintain financial records, complete required tax forms, record receivables and manage payables, and support the operations of the Development office. We are seeking someone who is skilled, trustworthy, extremely detail-oriented and organized, who takes initiative and enjoys working in a collaborative, collegial office environment. Primary responsibilities include:

• Enter invoices, coordinate approvals, enter payment records, and prepare checks
• Maintain records of receivables in QuickBooks and NeonCRM
• Accurately record contributions and pledges and prepare gift acknowledgement letters
• Send and track pledge payment reminders
• Manage monthly ACH batch payments for Goldman Family Preschool
• Manage direct-deposit batch payments for Center Day Camp between February and June each year
• Process payroll through a third-party provider on a biweekly basis; maintain deduction, compensation, and other relevant record-keeping
• Assist with Development record-keeping
• Assist with maintaining donor records, data entry, and data cleanup
• Assist with fundraising and engagement events including invite management, RSVP tracking, and more
• Assist with grant reporting
• Support the annual audit by providing information
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Salary: $48,000-52,000 depending on experience. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or development preferred
• 3+ years of nonprofit development and/or bookkeeping experience
• 2+ years QuickBooks or similar experience
• Excellent communication and math skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Positive attitude, sense of humor, reliable, honest, and mission of the JCA
• Problem-solving by assessing situations, collecting and analyzing information, and proposing effective solutions
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000
