We are looking to expand our Program and Community Outreach Teams to help us take the vision of the JCC to the next level with an exciting new senior position
Position Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the Program Director is responsible for overall strategic planning, business development, and the effective and efficient innovation, management, and outcomes of programs, starting with a focus on Children and Youth Programming. This includes Day Camp Children and Family Programs and Community Outreach Programs.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Camps:
a. Analyze data and review business models for Camp Kadimah
b. Conduct market research and review specialty camps.
c. Expand model for year-round engagement - staff and campers.
d. Research new camp partnerships and opportunities.
Community Outreach:
a. Expand programs designed to engage the Hamilton Jewish community.
b. Develop meaningful and consistent year-round programs designed to connect all members of the community
c. Seek and oversee grants for this sector's programming.
General Children and Family Programming:
a. Ensure we are constantly innovating and offering best-in-class programming
b. Monitor ongoing program metrics, analytics, and evaluation with both programmatic and fiscal management lenses.
General responsibilities:
a. Train, manage and supervise all Camp, Children and Family Programs and Outreach.
b. Create and actively promote a comfortable, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
c. Develop a strategic road map for program service delivery to ensure a range of programs for all age groups, which meet and exceed participants requirements.
d. Complete program evaluations and adjust programs accordingly.
e. Oversee the development of curriculum plans and guidelines to ensure high standards are reached consistently across all the different programs.
f. Foster a holistic culture that infuses Jewish values and principles organization wide.
g. Research and analyze the marketplace to understand trends to ensure relevance of ongoing and new programs.
h. Identify emergent opportunities for engagement of children and teens, and their families
Qualifications:
University degree or College diploma in Business, Jewish Experiential Education, Non-Profit Management or Jewish Communal Service preferred.
5+ years demonstrated outstanding experience in program planning, curriculum development and implementation.
Strong business acumen a necessity, including budgets, revenue and expense control and business development.
Superior communication and English language skills -oral and written.
Staff training, supervision, and development experience.
Experience in non-profit sector an asset.
Strong knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, Israel, and community a must.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and multi-task.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Database management.
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and produce reports.
$65,000 - $75,000
