Principal Responsibilities:

SUMMARY:

The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children's Theatre Production Company (CTPC) is seeking a Musical Director for the upcoming 2024/2025 fiscal year. The ideal candidate is an arts education professional who will work closely with the Arts & Culture staff to help build upon and expand all JCC CTPC programming that involves music. The ideal musical director is prepared and eager to be a role model within their field, for the Center of Arts & Culture, and the JCC as a whole.

Will be supervised by and work closely with the director of youth arts education. Experience and a love for teaching children of all ages, as well as extensive experience in their art form, is imperative. Submissions with musical directing, performance, and/or teaching reels is highly preferred.

COMMITMENT:

September 2024-January 2024, Sunday afternoons and select Monday evenings. Must attend necessary production meetings as well as tech week rehearsals for the production. Looking to staff the musical director for the duration of CTPC JR & CTPC Teen's main stage musical production of Newsies Jr. (grades 3rd - 10th ).This includes assisting with auditions and callbacks. Estimated 5 hours a week. Upon completion of this session and evaluation from the supervisor, will then discuss future employment and availability.

The work environment is typically fast paced. This job requires high energy and interaction with participants and other agency staff.

COMPENSATION: Competitive Paid position; Stipend of $1,500. Part time position.
