Principal Responsibilities:

The Stamford JCC Performing Arts department is seeking an instructor to teach the basic skills of Acrobatics and Tumbling to our K-2^nd grade dance students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Lead a class in the instruction of Acrobatics and Tumbling
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for our students
• Choreograph a routine for the students to perform at the end of our spring semester
• Must be a team player: someone who communicates openly and can collaborate well with both staff and students
• Must be available for special events such as recitals, or class demonstrations
• Attend dance staff meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2-3 years prior experience teaching (experience with school-aged students preferred)
• Availability to teach Wednesday afternoons from 4:00-5:30pm, April 20th - June 8th
• CRP/ First Aid certified
• Any dance or theater experience (appreciated but not required)

Salary:

$55/hr
