Principal Responsibilities:

Job Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Assistant Director of Aquatics is
responsible to assist with planning, organizing, and supervision of Aquatic activities, safety, and
maintenance of the Aquatics facility. The Assistant Director assists with the training and
scheduling of lifeguards and other pool personnel, directs Aquatics staff in the operation of pool
equipment, and performs regular maintenance duties, when necessary, in accordance with
Department of Health and New York State law.

Qualities and Qualifications:
Salary: $50,000-$55,000 (commensurate with experience), including the following benefits:
This is a full-time, in-person role, five days a week, with occasional evenings and holidays
throughout the year.

The Riverdale Y is a 50,000 sq. ft. Jewish Community Center that provides educational, recreational,
cultural, and wellness programming for children and adults of all ages. The Y features an early
childhood center, camps and afterschool programs, senior center, performing arts center, and health
