Principal Responsibilities:

The Children and Family Program Coordinator will be a warm and outgoing individual who has experience with providing services to children and families in a non-profit environment. Main responsibilities will include working with children and families in an Afterschool and summer camp setting, implementing programs and events. Judaic knowledge preferred.

The Children and Family Program Coordinator is responsible for the hands-on implementation and evaluation of the Afterschool Program at the MBJCC as well as administrative responsibilities and assist with enrichment classes, family events, holiday camps and summer camp. The Children and Family Program Coordinator will supervise part-time program staff and volunteers. This position requires independent judgment, initiative, relationship building skills with families and community partners and strong administrative skills. The Children and Family Program Coordinator must be creative in developing new activities, as well as in enhancing those currently in operation for the children and families of the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.A/B.S. Degree in a related field
• Supervisory, program and administrative skills
• Direct service experience with families and children
• Demonstrated skills in oral and written presentation
• Computer competency
• Understanding of and commitment to Jewish culture, tradition and community

Salary:

$35,000 - $45,000
