Principal Responsibilities:

Camp Kef is seeking a responsible, self-motivated Operations Team Member for Summer 2026. This role is essential to the daily functioning of camp, ensuring that our spaces are clean, organized, and set up for success. The Operations Team works behind the scenes to support staff, enhance camper experience, and maintain a safe and welcome environment for all.

The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and calm under pressure. They enjoy hands-on work, taking initiative, and are always looking for ways to help. This person is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, enjoys being active throughout the day, and prioritizes safety and organization in all tasks.

We serve campers from infancy through 10th grade and emphasize universal Jewish values including kindness, community, spirit, and respect. Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Daily Responsibilities:

Maintain the cleanliness and overall operation of camp spaces throughout the day

Complete morning setup including water jugs, sound system, and lunch bins

Collect, organize, and store lunch bins after morning arrival

Set up and reset lunchroom areas daily

Clean and maintain shared spaces, including the gym floor

Monitor and remove trash regularly throughout the day

Complete routine walks around camp to pick up loose items and ensure spaces remain tidy

Assist counselors with activity setup, including water access for the Zoom Flume

Support special events by setting up tables, chairs, mini waterslide, and equipment

End-of-day/week cleanup, including collecting and organizing lunch bins

Report any issues with excessive messiness or broken equipment to the Camp Director

Pre/Post Camp Responsibilities:

Participate in camp setup during the week prior to opening (Part time hours June 15 - 19)

Move and arrange picnic tables and outdoor equipment

Hang signage and prepare activity areas

Assist with setup of large equipment, including the Zoom Flume

Assist with breakdown during the week of August 17 (Part time hours)

Qualifications:

Minimum of 21 years old

Ability to lift 50lbs

Ability to work outside in the heat

Hours and Compensation:

Working hours: 8:15 am - 4:15 pm Monday - Friday

Summer Salary: Starting $4800
