Overview

SUPERVISOR: Chief Program Officer / Tucson 2025 JCC Maccabi Games Director

The JCC Maccabi Games Assistant Games Director is responsible for assisting with the management and operations of the 2025 Tucson JCC Maccabi Games. This includes, but is not limited to, all aspects including planning, committee development, budgeting, event coordination, and overseeing day-to-day operations during the week of the Games (July 2025). The Assistant Games Director will report to and work closely with the Games Director and will work closely with the committee chairs.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the setup and structure of Maccabi Central and the Games office space
  • Assist in developing all contracts for facilities, contractors, transportation, officials, and other Games related arrangements
  • Assist in planning and implementing the policies and procedures governing the Games
  • Assist and participate in the determination of the overall content and schedule for the program week
  • Will assist in overseeing and ensuring planning and implementation of and provide administrative support to all committees and committee chairs, including:
    • Local Delegation
    • Athletics
    • Operations
    • Security
    • Volunteers
    • Housing
    • Transportation
    • Administration
    • Jewish Programming
    • Events
    • Food and Hospitality
    • Access
    • Post Games
  • Assist in the coordination of all Games marketing and promotion efforts, including the decoration of Maccabi Central and the J building
  • Will assist in developing and monitoring the 2025 JCC Maccabi Games budget including tracking and reporting
  • Will assist in ensuring program quality, track goals, maintain strategic direction, and continue toward excellence
  • Will participate as an active member of the Tucson JCC Tzevet (Program Leadership) team and work collaboratively with other JCC departments
  • Will attend all staff meetings and events and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned
