Principal Responsibilities:

Full-Time: 40 Hours/Week - full-year position

Position Overview: The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher will provide assistance for the classroom team to maintain the quality of the JCC's Early Childhood Program, provide excellent care and education for children and build strong collaborations with families.

• Assist the Lead Teacher in providing excellent care to children.
• Provide a nurturing environment in which all children feel welcomed and secure
• Adhere to the standards outlined in the JCC Early Childhood Program Handbook for:
• • Following DHS regulations
  • Communicating with families
  • Care of facility and equipment
  • Record keeping
  • Curriculum
  • Health and safety procedures
  • Teamwork, including regular attendance of staff meeting

Minimum Qualifications:

• Background in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Two years of experience working with children
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of child caregiving
• Clearances:
• FBI
• PA State Clearance
• Child Abuse Clearance
• National Sex Offender Registry

Salary:

$25,000 - $35,000
