Principal Responsibilities:

Summary of Position

The JCC is looking for a certified health care professional to serve as the Preschool Nurse on a part-time basis. The Preschool Nurse will be responsible for assessing and treating students for medical issues. The hours are Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 6:15pm on school days. The Children Services Health Coordinator will supervise this Overtime Non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and treat students for medical issues
Help prevent physical issues and disease
Communicate effectively with staff, parents and students
Provide emergency aid to students and staff

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of NJ State Licensing standards preferred
Knowledge of community agencies which provide help to students and their families

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)certification required
Current state license required
School nurse / pediatric experience preferred
CPR / first aid certified

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, and bending
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Salary:

Under $25,000
