Principal Responsibilities:

The Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) seeks to be the region's most open and welcoming community-centered Jewish organization, offering experiences that amplify profound connections for every generation. SJCC hosts a premier early childhood school, summer camp for over 1000 campers, a 350-seat state-of-the-art theatre, basketball gym, fitness center, family and holiday celebrations and more. We are looking for a full-time Payroll and HR Assistant to process twice monthly payroll for 120-200 employees, administer benefits, ensure related compliance, and maintain accurate records for the organization. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a pay range of $25-31/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with payroll systems is required; experience with Paylocity is a plus.

Other Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a demonstrated commitment to discretion and experience handling sensitive/confidential information; knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization orally and in writing, and ability calculate figures and amounts using basic algebra.

Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000
