Principal Responsibilities:

In an exciting, supportive, fast-paced environment, the Member Relations Specialist provides day-to-day support to the Membership Department and serves as the key point person at our Member Relations desk. The individual in this position will be responsible for delivering the highest quality customer service to all members and guests through professional greetings, account maintenance, and extensive knowledge of programs and services.

The compensation for this position is $16- $17 per hour. The compensation offered will ultimately be determined by the hours the employee will work, the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. This 20-hour-per-week on-site job in Newton, Massachusetts, includes some night, weekend, and evening work. There is some flexibility in the work schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Welcome and direct all members and guests who enter the JCC in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and direct telephone, email, and potential chat inquiries
• Serve as the liaison for some front desk communication
• Develop the monthly schedule for the front desk staff
• Provide information to prospective members and represent the JCC while maintaining the JCC's highest standards of customer service and experience
• Navigate the membership database with proficiency
• Provide information, customer service, sell and transact purchases of membership, classes, plus more

Qualifications

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to providing quality customer service, and reliability
• Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn the JCC's CRM membership software Knowledge of Salesforce and Slack are a plus.
• Good typing skills and accurate data entry are essential
• High energy, enthusiasm, and a fast-paced, meticulous, and thorough mindset are required.
• Able to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks. Pay attention to detail and follow through on tasks.
• Able to work shifts covering the operational hours of the center, which will include some evenings and weekends
• Minimum of two years of customer service or related experience preferred
