Summary of Position:

The JCC of Central NJ is looking for an individual who is motivated, organized and knowledgeable in the day to day operations of a facility to serve as the evening and weekend Facilities Shift Supervisor. The shift supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Facility Department.

This is a 40 hour per week, overtime non-exempt position supervised by the Director of Operations. Hours are as follows: Sunday: 8:30am-5:30pm; Monday - Thursday 1:30pm-10:30pm; with an hour meal break each day. Schedule subject to change.

Essential Functions:

Oversee daily operations of the Facility Department at the JCC of Central NJ including but not limited to:

• Perform daily custodial maintenance demands and tasks as assigned
• Perform room setups and breakdowns
• Respond to radio calls for assistance
• Supervise Facility Team including:
  • Daily maintenance of building appearance and sanitation
  • Ensure facilities staff complete assigned tasks to satisfactory standards
  • Train staff on topics including: task completion to agency standards, equipment usage, shift reporting, OSHA protocols

• Coordination with Operations team as necessary, for successful project completion
• Proper use of software systems in order to
  • Know and complete room setups and breakdowns
  • Identify work orders assigned and mark when complete
  • Communicate efficiently with coworkers via email
• Ensure all stock levels are properly maintained; make requests for replacement of stock or equipment in a timely manner
• Attend meetings as determined by the Director of Operations

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior supervision and custodial experience required
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Understanding and application of OSHA protocols

Physical Demands:

• Considerable physical activity required, such as heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds
• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job
• Some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions

Salary:

$35,000 - $45,000
