Principal Responsibilities:

If you enjoy working with school-age children in a dynamic and extremely fun outdoor setting, a summer at Camp Davis is an incredible opportunity for you! We are looking for energetic and hard-working staff members in a variety of positions for Summer 2022. Positions available include:

- Counselors

- Specialists (sports, art, nature, and more)

- Unit Heads

A typical camp day is from 8:30-3:30 and spent caring for and engaging with campers in your group or activity; unit heads are also responsible for managing counselors of their age group. Camp is an amazing place to make unique connections with students/campers from a variety of ages and other staff, as well as build life skills that are helpful in college, the professional world, and beyond!

Camp Davis is headed in a new and exciting direction this summer with a new Leadership Team, revamped specialty camps, and upgraded modern facilities. We are getting organized early and looking for some amazing new staff to round out our camp team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Counselors and Specialists - minimum 1-year experience in a similar setting working with children

Unit Heads - High School Diploma required; minimum 1-year experience in a camp or school setting in a similar role; minimum 1-year of college experience

The Gordon Jewish Community Center (Gordon JCC) is at the center of Jewish life in Nashville, providing recreational, educational, social and cultural programs and services to over 1,700 member families. Located on a beautiful 52-acre campus in west Nashville, it is a place where non-Jews are welcome to join, play and learn side by side with their Jewish neighbors. Camp Davis, established in 1930s, provides a day camp experience for hundreds of school-age children each summer.
