The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando is hiring a new Director of Family Engagement.Working closely with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF), you will have the opportunity to expand our PJ Library program through innovative, high-quality, and low barrier programs, throughout Orlando.
Family engagement programming occurs throughout the city of Orlando and your creativity is what will drive these efforts.With the pending release of the 2020-21 Orlando Jewish Community Study, you will have access to data to drive your creative vision and access to new funding opportunities to expand your efforts.You will also collaborate and work with our local Jewish educators in our Jewish Teen Network program (JTEN).
This cohort of educators gathers together on a monthly basis for team meetings, brainstorming and peer success sharing. Funding opportunities through the JTEN program are also available for organizations who have a plan and desire to create innovative and engaging programs for teens throughout Orlando. This position also oversees the Colman Israel Scholarship program, providing funding for teens to travel to Israel on a teen program.
This position works closely with The Roth Family JCC staff, creating a network of peers to brainstorm, plan, and implement programs and impact.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Family Engagement has overall responsibility for developing and implementing The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando's strategy for Family Engagement.This includes but is not limited to the Federation's PJ Library Program, PJ Our Way Program, Jewish Teen Education Network (JTEN) and JTEN grant process, and Colman Israel Travel Scholarships.This is a hands-on position with a goal to enhance and increase participation in Jewish life for families through both the PJ programming options and the JTEN initiative.The ideal candidate will be dynamic, high-energy, creative, organized, and be able to act as a community organizer while possessing an unequivocal level of diplomacy and discretion.
With the pending release of the 2021 Orlando Jewish Community Study, it is expected that Family Engagement will increase, resulting in more supervisory requirements and a greater portfolio.
