Principal Responsibilities:

The Tennis Instructor interacts with program participants through teaching lessons and clinics, and promoting programs. The Tennis Instructor reports to MJCC Sports and Leagues leadership. Participant satisfaction with MJCC tennis programming and productive working relationships with MJCC staff is the Tennis Instructor's primary responsibility.

This is a contract position. We offer a percentage of the fees from the programs facilitated.

Minimum Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitates MJCC youth and adult tennis programs, including private lessons and clinics
• Completes payroll daily for all private lessons facilitated at the MJCC
• Ensures that all participants have completed payments before entering tennis courts and beginning private lessons
• Collects receipts from participants as proof of payment for private lessons
• Promotes programs and private lessons to encourage increase in MJCC tennis program participation
• Helps maintain a clean and neat facility
• Completes other duties as assigned by Sports and Leagues leadership

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Professional tennis experience
• Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude
• Proven teaching ability with adults and youth
• Works well collaboratively in a team environment

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• USPTA certification
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
