$28/hour during academic year, $9,000 (June 11th-August 11th)
The Assistant Director of Community Care delivers best-practice, trauma-informed care to children, teens, and young adults with mental and behavioral health challenges. The position is responsible for building a vibrant Jewish community by providing culturally competent mental, emotional, social, and physical health services, overseeing campers' and staff care, and the well-being of the diverse BB Camp community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working closely, training, developing relevant strategies, and communicating with parents, staff, and campers on issues related to mental, emotional, and social health (MESH), including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/ loss, relationship issues, emotional regulation, social skills, and group dynamics to ensure a successful camp experience. Duties include recruitment, screening, intake and orientation, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, counseling, training, patient education, case management, reporting, record keeping, and information collection.
