Principal Responsibilities:

Camp Seneca Lake, the residential summer camp of the Louis S. Wolk JCC of Greater Rochester is seeking a full time Director who will provide professional leadership, vision, and day-to-day operational management.

Our 200 beautiful, wooded acres in the Finger Lakes region of New York State provide the ideal backdrop for camp. Campers participate in a variety of exciting areas, including waterfront (skiing, sailing, wakeboarding and more!), high and low ropes courses, most land sports, overnight hiking, nature, drama, and arts and crafts.

CSL offers these activities in a wholesome Jewish camp community full of ruach to promote the physical, social, and emotional development of each of our campers. CSL is the home away from home each summer for nearly 500 children (ages 7-16) and over 100 staff.

General Job Summary:

In partnership with the Advisory Committee and the CEO, lead the strategic and operational vision for Camp Seneca Lake (CSL) and develop short and long-term strategic goals in areas such as fundraising, staffing, program development and facility management.Work closely with the JCC leadership to develop and shape budgets, procedures, and strategies.Implement programming and supervise camp staff and daily operations while living onsite at CSL from June through August each season.

The Director is someone who has the vision and motivation to make a difference in the lives of the children, parents, volunteers, and staff.The Director also has a strong desire to help make an impact in both the Jewish community and the community at large.

The JCC is seeking an individual with experience leading a camp and making a positive impact on the lives of camp counselors, children, and youth.Key competencies and qualities needed include:

Salary:

$90,000 - $125,000
